Keurig came to the rescue of those who run late in the morning. It is a savior for all the people who want their coffee quick and easy and can’t function without their morning joe. This is the same group of people who have made Keurig a hero because coffee aficionados are not very fond of the quick coffee concept!
In order to return all the love, Keurig has made an effort to provide some of the quickest, most efficient coffee makers of the century. And the recent advancements have been in the cup serving size, the introduction of the k-cup carafe, and large water reservoirs.
Today, we will answer all your questions about the serving size of a Keurig. What is the biggest Keurig cup? Which Keurig coffee makers offer the biggest cup serving?
What is the Largest Cup Size with a Keurig?
The largest single-serving cup size with a Keurig is 12 ounces. For the Keurig models offering carafes, the biggest carafe made by any Keurig is a 12-cup one.
It is important to note here that a standard cup is 8 ounces. But when we say a 12-cup carafe, it’s not 12 into 8 ounces coffee capacity. Why is that?
We take a standard coffee pot cup as 5 ounces. That gives the coffee capacity of a 12-cup carafe of only 60 ounces.
We can now safely say that the largest single-cup serving with a Keurig is 16-ounces. And the largest carafe is a 12-cup with a 60-ounce volume.
Various Keurig Machines with their Cup Sizes:
Keurig has given various lines of coffee machines with their specific feature sets. Three main lines include:
Versatile Keurig Brewers: Single Serve and Carafe Coffee Makers
Among the versatile Keurig brewers’ range, we have two most popular models that offer you what you want: the biggest coffee cup serving sizes.
These Big Keurig Machines offer four cup serving sizes: 6, 8, 10, and 12 ounces.
If you have your water reservoir filled, insert your K-cup pod, go for the required size, and you get your big Keurig within seconds.
What’s attractive about the size options available with the versatile Keurig machines is that they offer a full carafe in four different sizes:
- 6-cup carafe
- 8-cup carafe
- 10-cup carafe
- 12-cup carafe
To brew a full carafe, you can use your favorite ground coffee. Keurig K-duo and Duo plus models have a timing feature called the ‘Programmable Carafe Auto-Brew.’ You can put a timer for 24-hours so that your carafe is brewed and ready automatically when you need it.
And you also have the option to take out one cup and let the rest brew again.
Keurig Plus Series or Keurig 2.0 came with more automation and personalization functions. But they also came with the K-cup pods concept where you can only use K-cup pods with a Keurig chip. You cannot use non-license K pods or reusable pods to get a brew.
But these plus machines have four to five serving size options, the biggest one being the 12-ounce one.
The plus series also has the full carafe option, but only 32 ounces.
Classic Keurig Coffee makers
From the Classic Keurig range, the two models that can make you the big 12-ounce Keurig cup of coffee are:
Both of these classic Keurig models can perfectly brew the 12-ounce single-cup serving, but they do not have the full carafe feature.

- Keurig K-Elite offers five serving size options, while K-select only has four.
- K-Elite has a larger water reservoir than the K-Select.

Which Keurig Coffee Machine makes the Largest Water Reservoir?
With so many lines and models of coffee makers at Keurig, which one should be called the ‘big Keurig’?
We have discussed the largest serving sizes and maximum serving options. It’s time for the largest water reservoir. One with the largest reservoir offers the largest number of coffee cups in a single water fill. And that is Keurig K-Supreme Plus with a water reservoir of 78 ounces.
We have nominated another winner from the classic range owing to their popularity: Keurig K-Elite.
Keurig K-Elite features a mighty water tank of 75 ounces.
For a long time, the most we could get from an automatic coffee maker such as a Keurig is a 10-ounce single-serving coffee cup. But with so many fans of Keurig asking for bigger sizes, Keurig had to come with a 12-ounce single serving and a full carafe of up to a 12-cup one.
Ending the Big Keurig discussion with a 12-ounce coffee cup and a 12-cup full carafe!
